    What’s happened this week: Facebook has launched the Save button on News Feed posts, allowing you to store links for later, and also is trialling a Buy button. Both likely to have a larger potential audience than Mentions, an app they have launched exclusively for famous people (and their PRs) to connect with fans. iTunes Pass has launched in the UK, promising to provide an alternative to credit card payments, and is also seen as a replacement for physical gift cards in the same week as IBM and Apple announced a tie up to roll out a partnership to market wireless devices and business-specific applications to run on them.     PHD Hungary is winner at Content Marketing Awards with Dove Men+ Care campaign

    PHD Hungary was awarded “category winner of FMCG” for its Unilever campaign “Hero Square of Dove Men+ Care” at the Content Marketing Awards in Budapest. The three month long content driven online campaign was launched in partnership with local news websites and comprised ten short videos featuring real male “heroes” and the ways in which they show they care in their work and home environments. For a men’s care product facing the issue of  feminine association due to historical Dove campaigns, showcasing real men in their natural environment helped create brand awareness for this male hygiene product.

    PHD UK’s Rebecca Burchnall shortlisted in The Drum’s Heroines of HTML

    Rebecca Burchnall, head of social media at PHD UK, has been shortlisted as one of The Drum’s 50 leading women working in the UK digital industry today. Having received hundreds of applications, The Drum says “it was incredibly hard to narrow down the list of nominees to just 50, but this was done based on number of nominations and strength of testimonials”. Rebecca sits within PHD UK’s digital strategy team and has worked with clients such as Mondelez, The Guardian and Macmillan, developing their digital strategy.  Prior to joining PHD UK 4 year’s ago, Rebecca worked at Brilliant Media in Leeds.  She has always worked within the digital media sector (display, client servicing, strategy and now social).
