We are delighted to announce that Rebecca Burchnall, currently head of audience planning and Andrew McLean, currently strategy director, have been promoted to joint heads of planning, responsible for overseeing short-term performance marketing and long-term brand building.

The pair will report to Mike Florence, PHD’s chief strategy officer. Announcing his first board-level promotions since assuming the chief strategy officer role in November 2016, Florence said “Andrew and Rebecca make a great team – their respective expertise in brand-building and performance provides an agile, more rounded and complementary response to our clients’ changing requirements, focusing not only on immediate performance but also longer term brand building.”

Prior to her appointment to joint head of planning, Rebecca was PHD’s head of audience planning, working across clients including Warner Bros., Argos, Sainsbury’s and The Guardian.

Andrew joined PHD in 2016 as strategy director, working across the Volkswagen Group, Carnival Cruises and Global Radio accounts. He joined from Mindshare where he worked as strategy director on clients including Facebook, General Mills and Booking.com. Prior to that, he spent a year at UM London.
