Lars Bjorge, chief digital officer of PHD China has been selected as one of the 11 ‘enablers’ of China’s digital marketing scene in this year’s Campaign Digital A-List.
With the enormous potential of China’s economy and the force of its digital technology market, the Digital A-List aims to highlight the names and faces of those who are leading the digital market. Grouped into three equally weighed categories: enablers, dreamers and doers, each category recognises a variety of contributors.
Honouring those whose leadership and resources cultivate the success of digital products, entities, initiatives, projects and campaigns, enablers play a critical role in bringing hidden technology and capabilities to light.
No stranger to the A-List, this is the second time Lars has been nominated and recognised for his integrated digital expertise. As described by Campaign, his achievements in 2016 “sound like a machine gun firing rounds in quick succession”. To meet the demands of China’s fast-moving market, he established a digital futures team and an integrated performance team within PHD, focusing on the smart extraction and use of data in strategic work. He also doubled the size of PHD’s senior digital team to manage the demands of the increased work load.
Lars was also responsible for driving the digital component of Unilever’s media review, which led to PHD’s third contract renewal as well as leading the digital component of Volkswagen China’s pitch, aiding in the global PHD win.
