PHD UK has been nominated for Best Use of Cinema (Small) in the 2018 Digital Cinema Media Awards.

Now in its fourth year, the Digital Cinema Media Awards, in partnership with Campaign, highlights the most creative media content that appeared on the big screen within the last year. The showcased work should have emotional impact and proven delivery of brand fame and sustainable long-term growth.

PHD UK’s nomination stems from their work with McCain on the campaign Using Special Nights Out to Create Special Nights In.

The campaign celebrates couples of all kinds uniting over food on special nights spent together at home.

Digital Cinema Media’s Chief Executive Karen Stacey said: “These awards reward great media ideas that have triumphed in producing outstanding results for brands in cinema. It’s fantastic to once again receive an exceptional selection of entries, almost double the number since we launched four years ago, which itself showcases the growing power of the big screen.”

In addition to the nomination, PHD UK will also be represented at the awards by Michael Florence, who will sit on the judging panel. Florence, PHD UK’s Chief Strategy Officer, will join 18 other industry leaders to select the winners across seven categories, including the overall Grand Prix.

The winners will be announced on 18 September at a red-carpet ceremony at the Ham Yard Hotel in London.
