PHD China and PHD US were awarded three times at the recent 2018 MMA Smarties Awards, with PHD China finishing the night with the prestigious Best in Show honours.

PHD China’s campaign for Lifebuoy, ’24 Hour Doctor’ has been sweeping the awards circuit this year following its success in providing mothers in China instant access to Lifebuoy-branded medical professionals on LaMaBang. The latest awards from the Global Smarties are the esteemed Best in Show award and the Gold award in the Marketing Strategy: Brand Awareness category.

The two new awards join a list of accolades which includes two Mumbrella Asia Awards, an M&M Global Award and an Internationalist Award.

PHD US also took home an award at the North America Smarties Awards. Their campaign ‘How to Get Rid of a Cold Sore’ for GSK Abreva won Bronze in the Marketing Objective: Mobile Search category.

“We would like to offer a big MMA congratulation to all the Smarties winners for being courageous and taking risks,” said Sheryl Daija, Chief Strategy Officer, MMA.

Every year the Smarties Awards celebrate the most significant work in mobile marketing campaigns from the past year, along with the talent and teams behind them. The 2018 entries were reviewed by an independent jury of industry professionals, who judged on four criteria, with business impact accounting for 40% of each entrant’s overall score, while creative, strategy and execution each made up 20%.
