At this year’s Festival of Media APAC Awards, PHD’s work was celebrated as best-in-show once again, taking home the prestigious Campaign of the Year accolade. The win is the result of 4 Golds and 1 Bronze being awarded to PHD New Zealand for its DB Export Beer Bottle Sand, making it the most commended work at this year’s Festival. The PHD network collected a total of 11 trophies, comprising 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze for its campaigns in India, New Zealand and Australia.

This year’s edition of Festival of Media APAC saw PHD India take home Silver in the Best Launch Campaign category for their work on Surf Excel. PHD Australia’s branded content for both Macleans and Daikin landed them two Silver, while their use of data and insights for Red Rock Deli and targeting for Ben and Jerry’s saw the agency take home a further two Bronze trophies.

The Festival’s spotlight was inevitably on PHD New Zealand, however, whose DB Export campaign took home three Gold and one Bronze for its use of an experiential campaign, creative media and traditional/ambient media. The campaign was also crowned as Oceania Campaign of the Year and APAC Campaign of the Year following its success at the Awards.

PHD New Zealand chief executive officer, Louise Bond, says she is incredibly proud of the success the agency has had around the world in recent times. “We’ve had an outstanding couple of years,” she says. “When you talk to marketers from other countries, they know of PHD New Zealand’s success and that recognition is highly rewarding.”

The Festival of Media Asia accolade adds to PHD’s Media Agency of the Year win at the Spikes Festival of Creativity 2017. The network was also recognized for producing the most celebrated work at the MMA Smarties APAC 2017, when its Yasmin Sex-Ed Revolution campaign from China won ‘Best in Show’ and earned Bayer the title of ‘Marketer of the Year’.
