Paying for a transaction on a mobile device growth up 41.7% in 12 months
It’s estimated over 22 million American’s will use their digital wallets to pay for a transaction at the point of sale this year with even faster growth expected for mobile payments in 2016. The most popular mobile payment apps include Google’s Android Pay and Apple Wallet according to the smartphone owners surveyed this month. 39% of respondents said they will use a mobile payment app to make a purchase during the holiday season this year.
