What we did

PHD helped Clear, a chinese anti-dandruff shampoo, to launch China’s first fantasy sports mobile game to promote their sponsorship of the Lotus F1 team.

We created mobile and display ads with QR codes to take fans to the Clear F1 Fantasy app where they can create their own fantasy F1 team, compete in a virtual F1 championship, invite and challenge friends to races, track points and share results across social media.

What they did

Just half way through the F1 season, 400,000 fans have downloaded the Clear F1 Fantasy app and 46,00 teams have been created. There has been 1.1 million gaming sessions and 20,000 hours of gameplay.

What it achieved

Clear F1 Fantasy is China’s No.1 sports app, with click through rates at more than double the industry average.

Sales have increased by 28% vs category growth of only 9.6%, market share has increased by 8% and Clear has overtaken Head & Shoulders for the first time in some consumer research studies.
