Joanne Liddell, the former head of OMD’s branded content division Fuse Sydney, has returned to Omnicom Media Group as PHD’s head of content, social and diverse.

In her new role, Liddell will handle PHD’s content and social capabilities nationally, and will report directly into Lucy Formosa Morgan, PHD’s chief investment officer.

Liddell worked in a number of roles outside of Omnicom Media Group, including group managing director of experiential agency Rinsed, project director at The Works and as client services director at a number of agencies.

At the same time, Christian Heath, communications director for content, partnerships and events has been promoted to content and partnerships director, reporting directly into Liddell.

PHD Content will also look to expand in Melbourne, with Jack Monro, Unilever’s planning manager moving to Melbourne to assume the role of senior content and partnerships manager.

Liddell said she was excited to join an “energetic and driven team.” She added: “We will continue to push boundaries and challenge the status quo.”

Formosa Morgan said: “We are thrilled to have Jo join the PHD team, her record of driving innovative work and strong leadership style will see the team move from strength to strength and I am confident we will see consistently smart and strategic work coming from the team.”

PHD Australia’s clients include Carlton and United Breweries, ANZ, Unilever and Volkswagen.

Liddell’s appointment is effective immediately.
