2004 Wayne graduates from the University of Johannesburg with a B Com majoring in Communication, Economics and Business Management.
2004 Joins OMD as a Junior Media Planner working on Smart Car and McDonalds
2005 Wayne moves to Nota Bene and before long, gets drafted into the Unilever team working on Shield, Axe, Shield Teens, Joko and Ola.
2008 Wins a Roger Garlick for Best Use of Radio for his work on Axe
2009 Wins the Unilever Regional Activation of the Year for Shield Golden Goal
2010 Transfers to MEC Australia joining Nota Bene Founders Peter Vogel and James Hier. Runs the Campbell Arnotts account as Business Director and comes away with MEC Australia’s first ever B&T Campaign of the Year and Global Ideas Grand Prix.
2013 Wayne heads back home to South Africa and after a few months at MEC, joins PHD Johannesburg as MD. Since then, he has helped the agency grow from R110m to R650m in less than 3 years. The agency has also won Specialist Agency of the Year and Wayne was also voted Media Agency Rising Star and Top 40 Under 40 in 2014.
2015 Wayne helps PHD win an AMASA Award Gold and Highly Commended for work on BCX and Canon respectively
2016 Wayne has been fortunate enough to be a judge on the Media Jury at Dubai Lynx as well as an online judge at both Festival of Media EMEA, PHD Light Awards and M&M Global. He is currently also in charge of the AMASA Awards in South Africa.
