Eileen Ooi is a passionate about all things media and women empowerment. Full of energy, she spends her day advocating change leadership, raising media talents in Malaysia and creating new conventions. A proud mother of two boys, she gets her anecdote of inspirations from learning to see the world from her boys’ perspectives.
Eileen started her advertising journey in 2004 with Starcom Mediavest working on Procter & Gamble business. She quickly moved on to take a regional role in 2007 in Singapore on P&G. Her passion to raise Malaysian talents profile brought her back to Malaysia, where she worked on Malaysia Airlines with Mindshare. She quickly rose to lead one of the largest and profitable team in Mindshare; whilst playing the role of Head of Strategy. In this role, she moved Mondelez business into a top digital player in the industry that bagged several local and regional awards. Her strong sense for good communication strategy also saw Eileen taking an APAC award for Best Business Planning. She joined Carat Malaysia in 2013 as Strategy Director, and increased the agency’s award win ratio while publishing their first Consumer Trends study with Brand Leadership Magazine. In 2014, Eileen joined Maxus as General Manager, Strategy & Platforms and grew Maxus to over-deliver against its commercial targets within the first year. In 2016, Eileen joins PHD as Head of PHD Malaysia as catalyst of change to raise PHD into a leading industry player.
