With Oreo having just 10% of the spontaneous awareness of the market leader in its category, to help move the brand further into the centre of UK popular culture, we saw the upcoming UK solar eclipse as a chance to put Oreo in full view.

To do this, wee created our own Oreo Eclipse to guarantee every Brit could enjoy it by literally eclipsing The Sun – wrapping all 2m+ copies of the UK’s biggest selling newspaper and using real-time astronomical data to create digital outdoor ads which mirrored the exact timings and trajectory of the eclipse happening in the sky above it using Oreos.
