Omnicom Media Group has made a number of senior hires to its Vietnamese operation, including the appointment of a new chief operating officer.
The media holding group has hired the former managing director of Edelman Indonesia, Julien Courant, to oversee the growth of agencies PHD and OMD.
Courant, who also led OgilvyOne Indonesia for two years, has ten years of experience in South East Asia and has spent the past two years working as a freelance digital consultant.
Joining him at OMG is Sang Hua, who has moved from Mindshare Vietnam to take over as group head of digital.
The group has also promoted Loan Be to the role of performance lead for PHD Vietnam and OMD Vietnam.
Meanwhile, Uyen Minh has joined PHD as business director, while Huy Lam has moved to OMD from Mindshare as planning manager.
Speaking on the appointments, Van Anh Tranluu, CEO of Omnicom Media Group Vietnam, said: “Over the past couple of years, we have noticed our clients’ needs evolve, in line with technological developments and the corresponding shift in consumer behaviour that follows.
“To harness these new market forces and better prepare our clients for the next wave of disruption, we have restructured our leadership and organisational approach, placing digital and performance at the core. I have every confidence in our new leaders’ abilities to navigate our clients’ brands into the future.”
