This week some of global advertising’s best and brightest gathered in New York at an elite Winners Evening to celebrate outstanding case studies in the 10th Annual Internationalist Awards for Innovative Digital Marketing Solutions. The Winners Celebration was produced in partnership with the ANA (Association of National Advertisers).
PHD China picked up the Grand Prix for Lifebuoy China and their “24 Hour Doctor” initiative, which includes a 24/7 online portal with free access to live and credible medical professionals to help mothers understand childhood illnesses. China’s healthcare system provides only five doctors for every 10,000 children, due to the sheer volume of the population.
The “24-Hour Doctor” concept encompassed everything Lifebuoy’s target audience of young mothers needs in urgent situations: instant, uncomplicated and convenient access to trustworthy medical professionals who can offer support by giving an initial diagnosis to a child’s ailment.
The goal of The Internationalist Awards is to honour great case studies that bring results, while highlighting the significant shifts occurring in the industry as marketers grapple with technological innovation and purposeful strategies. From AI to blockchain, from data mining to predictive analytics, there are opportunities available to make advertising more relevant and more personal.
PHD garnered the most wins of any agency, including a clutch of victories for PHD Canada:

- Silver for Government of Ontario: Ministry of Health – Cervical Cancer
- Silver for GSK Canada: Thrive “In The Moment”
- Silver for Tangerine: My Lean Life

PHD Hong Kong picked up a Bronze for St. Honore Cake Shop and their “St. Honore’s Search Success stomps Cake Myths; while PHD China secured a second big win – a Gold for VWGroup and “Catch. Play. Connect”.
Over 200 cases were submitted from 27 different locations worldwide. Winners represent the top 15% of all entry scores. The winning cases came from Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Spain, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, the UAE, the UK, and the US, as well as programmes with a sweep across multiple markets and broad regions like Europe, as well as worldwide.
