PHD has added to its 2019 WARC Media Awards tally with a Silver and two Special Awards for PHD New Zealand and a Bronze for PHD Australia in the Effective Channel Integration category.
PHD New Zealand’s three wins came for their work with New Zealand telco company Skinny Mobile on The Best ‘Freekend’ Christmas Ever! campaign. The Silver was awarded for Effective Channel Integration, which showcases how sophisticated communications architecture helps to boost campaign effectiveness.
As well as its Silver award, The Best ‘Freekend’ Christmas Ever! won the Path-to-Purchase Award for the best campaign to build an effective integration model around shopper or path-to-purchase insight; and the Effective Cross-Channel Measurement Award for the campaign that most accurately measured the effectiveness of different comms channels and the halo effect that they achieved together.
PHD Australia picked up a Bronze for Corona’s Wave of Waste, which hijacked iconic symbols of paradise to alert Aussies of the amount of plastic going into Australia’s oceans every hour. The PHD team leveraged Corona’s existing partnership with Parley for the Oceans, an environmental group committed to cleaning up the oceans, and created visual representations of the plastic waste issue.
The Silver and Bronze wins follow Touché!, part of the PHD network, winning Gold in WARC’s Best Use of Data category.
