PHD Spain and Audi have launched ‘Pixel to Asphalt’, a competition within the smash hit video game Gran Turismo Sport that will culminate with one lucky winner behind the wheel of the new Audi R8 for real.
Players need to register for the tournament and overcome the challenging Gran Turismo Sport races against the best drivers in the country. The competition will involve some of its most iconic sports models, as well as anonymous players and influencers.
Created and executed by PHD Spain and DDB Spain, the initiative has the support of PlayStation and all races can be seen on their Twitch channel.
Contestants need to try and record the fastest laps they can. Times and videos of the fast laps can be shared on Twitter using the hashtag #AudiPixelToAsphalt, which is used to simultaneously monitor the impact of the action on the social media environment.
The grand finale features the 12 best drivers on Sunday 14 June, broadcast on Twitch.tv/PlayStationES. The winner gains the ultimate prize – pushing the pedal to the metal in an Audi R8 on the asphalt of a real circuit.
