PHD has made a series of global senior promotions and hires, as it looks to bolster its Unilever team.
Liz Donaldson and Angus Bannerman have both been promoted within the global strategy unit to group strategy directors, reporting into global head of strategy, Toby Roberts. Meanwhile, Bryony Tyler, Matt Prentis and Tom diSapia join as directors, and Monika Zalaite joins as business planning manager.
Speaking on the promotions and new hires Robert Ray, managing director, said: “The PHD global strategy unit is unique and possibly the largest of its kind in the world – It’s an amazing team built around specific skill-sets. We are always focused on attracting the best talent in the industry to deliver the very best in global comms planning for Unilever.”
Liz will be responsible for running Unilever’s personal care brands, including Dove and Vaseline. Liz joined PHD in January 2013 when the global strategy unit was launched following the win of Unilever’s global communications planning business.

Matt joins from Starcom MediaVest Group London, where he most recently held the position of strategy director working across key accounts including Heineken portfolio and Novartis in the UK.
On joining PHD, Matt said: “The chance to work with some of the world’s best loved brands, in a team that’s so highly regarded in London and beyond was too good to miss out on.”
Monika has joined the business planning team as business planning manager, reporting into head of business planning Seth Ball and this month Tom diSapia joins as innovation director working on the Dove brand. Tom joins from UM Sydney where he was working as senior strategy director on Coca-Cola.
