Having cut his advertising teeth servicing the Unilever account at TAL, Keith later moved across to the discipline of media, eventually being appointed Joint Managing Director of the agency in 2004. Following TAL’s formal affiliation with the Omnicom Group in 2006, Keith became the CEO of BBDO/Proximity Sri Lanka, a post he held until 2011. Following a strategic re-alignment, Keith shifted back to media, heading the Omnicom Media Group’s offices in Sri Lanka.
Keith has helped PHD Sri Lanka gain both local and international acclaim. Through the acquisition of new business, including work with Sri Lanka Telecom, AIA Insurance, and the David Peiris Motor Company, PHD Sri Lanka stands as the highest awarded Sri Lankan media agency by Campaign Asia.
Keith has been on the Board of the Accredited Advertising Agencies’ Association (4As) for well over a decade serving as its President for two terms from 2009 to 2011. Giving back to the industry through nurturing tomorrow’s leaders, he is also a regular lecturer for the Sri Lanka Press Institute and 4As’ joint initiative – a certificate course in PR and corporate communications.
Within the office, Keith promotes a zero-tolerance approach to prejudice in the workplace, personally conducting seminars against racial and sexual discrimination for all new recruits.
