The d Awards, Malaysia’s sole digital media and advertising awards, is returning after its successful revival last year. The 2019 awards will see Eileen Ooi, Managing Director of PHD Malaysia, working behind-the-scenes as Organising Chairman.
The d Awards are organised by the Malaysian Digital Association to recognise and honour the talents and brands that embrace digital technologies. MDA is looking for innovation in the design and execution of marketing digital campaigns that lead to a difference in the way consumers perceive and consume brands.
This year, the d Awards are adding three new categories in line with how the industry has changed in the last year. The new Best Tech Developer, Best Digital Publisher and Best Digital Innovation for Pro-bono Work categories will further support the d Awards’ aim to appreciate talent and brands that use technologies.
“The new categories are also unique in that it allows for all digital players – be they agencies, marketers, publishers, technologists or developers – to participate on level playing field and come together as equals to win,” said Ooi.
“Marketing today is very much digital-centric as our world works to debunk the myth of offline vs. online,” Ooi continued. “The d Awards stand to recognise the best of talents, publishers, technology players and the tremendously great work that Malaysia is producing in the space of digital marketing.”
Entries will be judged by a jury of digital practitioners, marketers, strategists and other experts. Each judge will individually assess and evaluate submissions based on the campaign’s strategy, creative and innovation, execution, and results. Winners will be announced in April 2019.
