PHD UK D&I Co Chairs both shortlisted at the IPA’s iList Awards

News Our People

The IPA’s iList celebrates the role models who are changing our industry for the better, from the work we make to the way we work together.

Lauren Herzenberg, media director on our VW account, has spent a large amount of time across the past two years working across all of our D&I teams to deliver a D&I programme worth shouting about.

She worked closely with our D&I board sponsors and co-chairs across all eight of our D&I groups (MINDS, Working dependents, Multicultural, Women, LGBTQ+, Age Positive, Disability and Socio Economic) to ensure PHD made significant changes across the agency in the area of diversity and inclusion.

Lauren has rallied the teams together and worked on a number of initiatives across the last two years, on top of her day job, to improve PHD’s statistics and ensure the agency allowed everyone who worked here to be their true selves.

Emma Flaxman, our marketing & new business director, has supported the wellbeing of all employees throughout the toughest years in agency life through a series of mental health initiatives. She conceived and delivered a collection of mental health support resources which were later adapted at an OMG UK Group and PHD global network level to guide employees to the help they needed during lockdown.

After training as a mental health first aider, Emma handled the majority of mental health support calls, guiding her colleagues to support resources and has since started to put more proactive things in place to ensure the wellbeing of the people who work at PHD is protected and taken seriously.

On top of the work Emma’s done around mental health, she has also guided and supported all the comms across all of the other seven D&I groups within the PHD programme – finding better ways to deliver content at a time where headspace was at a premium for most of us.

We are ecstatic that Lauren and Emma’s hard work has been recognised by the jury at the IPA and we’re looking forward to finding out the outcome mid-late march.
