PHD UK has continued its wave of success with three multi-award winning campaigns in the newly released WARC Rankings for 2018. Ranking No. 4 in Media 100 is Batman Barges In (The LEGO Batman Movie) for PHD London in the Media & Publishing category. PHD’s other two campaigns – Is It Okay For Guys? (Lynx) for PHD Global Business in the Toiletries & Cosmetics category, and Rammed with Confidence (Volkswagen) for PHD London in the Automotive category – ranked No. 8 and No. 9 respectively.
Warner Bros. promoted The LEGO Batman Movie to 16–34 year olds in the UK by partnering with Channel 4 to take over continuity announcements over four consecutive nights, making LEGO Batman part of the Channel 4 experience rather than just another advertisement. The campaign created interest for young adults with one in six people who saw the Channel 4 announcements booking a cinema ticket.
The WARC Rankings track the winners’ lists from all the most important creative, effectiveness and media award contests, everywhere in the world. The results of each ranking have been combined in their report to produce a ‘Best of the Best’ ranking for agencies and brands, to showcase the best all-round performances in 2018 for each geographical region.
