PHD has recently appointed Liam Pook as Head of Digital for its Melbourne office. With over 10 years of experience within the media industry, Pook is making the move from the UK from his previous role as digital innovation strategist at Google.
Reporting into Simon Lawson, General Manager, PHD Melbourne, Pook will be leading digital output for the Melbourne office, which includes: bringing together digital, data and tech solutions for PHD clients; executing digital media innovation and new-to-market opportunities; and ensuring digital best practice is implemented across the client portfolio of PHD Melbourne.
“I’m excited to contribute to the incredible growth the PHD Melbourne team has achieved since opening their doors,” said Pook. “In particular, I’m looking forward to drawing on my experience both agency and client side to help solve client challenges, uncover new and innovative opportunities, and push PHD’s digital capabilities into 2020 and beyond.”
“It took some time to find the right candidate, but I’m glad we waited,” Lawson said of the appointment. “I’m looking forward to seeing how Liam works with our group of clients to make the leap forward to more creative and effective digital experiences.”
Pook’s remit will extend across all Melbourne-based clients, including ANZ, Carlton United Breweries, Priceline, 7-Eleven, Porsche and the AFL.
