Charli Ursell, Head of Agency Operations at PHD Global Business, has been added to the jury for the 2021 WARC Awards for Media.
Charli becomes PHD’s third juror at the 2021 Awards, after Cynthia Zhang, Managing Director of PHD Shanghai, was selected to judge the WARC Awards for Asian Strategy, and Roxane Magbanua, Business Unit Director at PHD UAE, recently scored the WARC Prize for MENA Strategy.
Charli Ursell, Head of Agency Operations at PHD Global Business, will judge the Effective Use of Tech category at the WARC Awards for Media 2021. The category showcases communications that have effectively used or combined emerging platforms or technology in the media mix, contributing to the overall business success of the campaign. Charli has been with PHD for ten years and has experience heading up Transformation and Consultancy Services for the Middle East and Global Business.
Cynthia Zhang, Managing Director of PHD Shanghai, will sit on the WARC Awards for Asian Strategy jury. The Awards focus on the most innovative strategic thinking from the region, the results achieved and building a base for future growth. Cynthia’s agency experience spans auto, IT, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, and internet industries. She joined PHD’s parent company Omnicom Media Group in 2007 and became MD of PHD Shanghai in 2017.
In recent weeks, Roxane Magbanua, Business Unit Director at PHD UAE, joined the jury for the WARC Prize for MENA Strategy, an award in its fifth year searching for the best strategic thinking from the region’s marketing industry. During her time in the Middle East, Roxane has led more than 150 notable brands, and in 2017, The Filipina Network listed her among its top 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World.
As WARC Awards judges, Roxane, Cynthia and Charli join some of the world’s biggest brands and top agency professionals and specialists from around the globe.
Winners of the WARC Prize for MENA Strategy will be announced on Wednesday 4 August.
The shortlist for the WARC Awards for Asian Strategy will be announced on Wednesday 15 September, with the winners revealed on Monday 25 October.
The WARC Awards for Media: Effective Use of Tech is open for entries until Wednesday 22 September, with winners announced later in the year.
