PHD Taiwan has appointed Geri Hsu as General Manager for the agency. She brings over 16 years of experience in both Taiwan and China, where she managed international clients across several different categories. She will report to Omnicom Media Group Taiwan CEO, Kelly Huang.
“PHD is a very young brand in Taiwan, and truly epitomizes the agile thinking required from an agency partner to tackle ongoing disruption in the media landscape for its clients,” Huang said of Hsu’s appointment. “Given Geri’s professional background and diverse experiences across Greater China, we are confident that she will lead the team to continue scaling new heights in Taiwan and achieve even greater success for our people, partners and clients.”
James Hawkins, CEO of PHD APAC, added: “PHD Taiwan has truly earned a reputation for ‘finding a better way’ within Taiwan’s communications industry, having been named ‘Digital Agency of the Year’ at the Taipei International Digital Advertising Festival and emerging as Taiwan’s sole winner at Cannes Lions last year. We are excited to welcome Geri on board and have every confidence that she will continue to accelerate the agency’s pace in the market.”
Hsu stated: “PHD is a very distinctive brand in the market, having earned a strong reputation for its strategy-led product and future-facing approach for its clients. I am excited to join the team and look forward to collaborating with them on continuing PHD’s success story in Taiwan.”
