In addition to picking up six awards, PHD UAE was named the Most Effective Media Agency Office of the Year at the 11th edition of the MENA Effie Awards on 6 November at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, organised by Mediaquest.
Four of the six awards stemmed from the agency’s work on Puck (Arla Foods ME). The ‘Repurposed meals’ campaign won two Silver awards in the Food and Positive Change: Environmental – Brand categories, and the ‘Making meal-time fun time’ campaign won two Bronze in the Shopper Marketing and Youth Marketing – Children categories.
Another Silver and another Bronze were awarded for PHD UAE’s work for Ferrero. The ‘Ferrero Rocher – Mother’s Day’ campaign won a Silver in Brand Experience: Product, and the ‘Nutella Spread – Ramadan’ campaign won a Bronze in the Snacks and Desserts category.
The MENA Effie Awards brought together over 2,000 professionals from both the agency and the client sides in celebration of the best and most efficient marketing campaigns and agencies of the year. The 2019 crop of winners, selected from 288 shortlisted entries across 35 categories, was an impressive mix of independent agencies and major networks; international brands and regional players; fresh trailblazers and well-established institutions.
