|What was our challenge: HP’s Commercial PC Marketing Division was facing a challenge – it wasn’t seen as an innovative brand in the context of the changing workplace and was facing challenges from brands that were communicating innovation via new product launches across the region. We needed to show our target audience the innovation that existed within HP’s current commercial range, in a way that would get them re-engaging with the brand and products.|
How did we solve this: Augmented Reality (AR) was a perfect technology for us to use – a medium that was innovative, one that would help associate HP with innovation, and one that could literally showcase HP’s products in front of an ITDMs own eyes. Our core idea was “The Office of the Future” – an innovative AR experience, supported by the scale of the already existing infrastructure of mobile display and programmatic targeting, that allowed ITDMs to interact with HP’s commercial PC models in a new ‘futuristic’ setting delivered by the AR experience.
What did we achieve: The 100% mobile campaign successfully delivered HP commercial business a boost in sales, bucking the trend that existed before our campaign started. Our AR experience drove excellent media results with click-throughs 3x higher than previous HP activity, and strong engagement rates of 12.2%, two times higher than industry standards – showcasing Augment Reality’s ability to spark interest and delight our audience.
