We are a place to learn and grow

We’re passionate about making sure people have the support and opportunities they need to develop and grow in their role.

Everyone has a clear learning pathway, whatever their specialism.

Our advanced programs for senior and high-performing team members are respected within the industry and enable us to reward those who give it their all.

We focus on mental wellbeing

The mental health of our people has never been more important.

Mental health is something we all have. When it’s good, we have a clear sense of purpose and direction and feel we can cope with whatever life (and work) throws at us. But just as our physical health changes, our mental health goes through ups and downs too.

At PHD, we believe that raising awareness of potential mental health issues in the workplace is part of fostering an inclusive workplace, where people feel able to bring their whole selves to work.

We have a full suite of resources to help protect the mental health of our employees. This includes a group of trained mental health first aiders, a full resource doc on who can help when our people need it from internal benefits such as our employee assistance programme, access to wellbeing experts through our partnership with SelfSpace and also access to world renowned apps such as Headspace and Thrive.

We are a place for everyone

We are making real tangible changes across our agency network to ensure we meet the highest standards of diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI).

Working with clients who share our commitment, we share ideas, learn together, and create DEI initiatives that are strategic, data-driven, and contribute to our long-term business goals.

Our mission is to attract, retain and develop the most diverse talent in the industry and continue to nurture an inclusive culture.

We encourage global mobility

Our global mobility program gives our people license to switch — and work around the world.

Aimed at people who have been in their role for over a year, our Talent Mobility Program establishes a culture of trust and transparency, gets people thinking about their long-term future with PHD, and helps them to develop as individuals.

Team members follow an internal retention plan and work with our HR team to find the right move for them. The Program is a win-win; it’s a great way for the business to retain good people and for team members to stay inspired and motivated in their role at PHD.

We support agile working

As the world changes, so are we — by introducing new flexible working initiatives.

The workplace has changed irreversibly over the past year and accelerated our commitment to adaptive working practices.

This is no longer a niche issue relating to one or two groups; it is something that most people value.

We intend to continue exploring progressive and innovative approaches to agile working by investing in technology and policy change.

We allow our people to focus on the things that matter

With so much bad in the world, we encourage our people to do good

Most recently we partnered with British Ukraine Aid for an all agency volunteering event which took place in July 2022.  Their mission is to make a positive change and a lasting difference to the lives of people who have endured dispiriting life-changing injuries, visible or otherwise, while being exposed to the horrors of war.

An amazing number of PHDer’s turned up to take part, learn about the efforts and help assemble essential medical kits. The day was a great success with over 600 kits put together.
