PHD Columbia’s work with HP delivered Gold and Silver at the Effie Awards Columbia 2021, which recognise the most effective campaigns in the entire marketing and advertising industry.
PHD picked up a prestigious Gold for their ‘Love, Live, Help Amazonas’ campaign for HP in the Positive Change: Environmental category. While the country was fighting a battle against a disease that attacks the lungs of people, PHD and HP raised their voices in the fight against a phenomenon that attacks the lungs of the whole world: the deforestation of large areas of Amazonian forest.
‘Love, Live, Help Amazonas’ is a sustainable platform that transformed the purchase invoices of the HP Envy Wood computer into litres of oxygen for the world. This campaign was supported by environmentalists, indigenous tribes, media platforms, and the government, and in turn, generated 4.35m litres of oxygen and exceeded sales expectations.
In the David and Goliath category, PHD Columbia scooped Silver for their HP campaign, ‘Keep Safe, Keep Art’. In a year marked by crisis, the world was forced to seek creative solutions to problems and it was no different for Z by HP.
Charged with exceeding the sales of the Z computer range on a limited budget, PHD created ‘Keep Safe, Keep Art’, an unconventional challenge allowing creatives to free their minds by painting walls and streets that in reality, would be totally illegal or impossible. The Z by HP computer range sold out on HP.com.
The winners were selected from among 150 finalists and watched by over 2,000 people at this year’s virtual awards ceremony.
