PHD UK has today announced that Confused.com, the UK’s first car insurance price comparison website, has entered into a one-year partnership for the Family Gold Spot across cinemas nationwide.
The integrated partnership, negotiated by PHD UK, incorporates the premium position in reel for every family film of 2015 from January 1st, across over 700+ cinemas throughout the UK and will feature Confused.com’s famous robot BRIAN, created by Publicis who produced the cinema credits.
The family film sector continues to be buoyant with upwards of 40m admissions forecast for next year, driven by blockbusters such as Disney’s ‘Big Hero 6’, ‘Minions’ from the Despicable Me series, Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’ and many more.
Fiona Creedon, head of advertising at Confused.com, said:
“Confused.com is thrilled to have found a home for BRIAN on the big screen for 2015, and can’t wait for families across the UK to see what he gets up to next. There are some hotly-anticipated family films being released next year so we’re really excited about this new opportunity. The Family Gold Spot is the perfect environment to showcase BRIAN’s new adventures in 2015, which is looking to be a really exciting year for us as a brand.”
Richard Desforges, PHD UK’s head of performance planning, said:
“PHD is delighted Confused.com is going to be featuring in the Family Gold Spot across cinemas. People have really taken to BRIAN the Robot since he was launched on the little screen and now on the big screen, we have an opportunity to entertain the whole family in a shared moment of magic.”
