The companies participating in this year’s expanded Big Clash cricket match have been confirmed, with media agencies, media owners, technology companies and creatives set to battle it out on the pitch.
The “highly competitive” cricket match will aim to raise in excess of $100,000 for UnLtd charity partners including Big Brother Big Sister, White Lion and Sydney Story Factory.
UnLtd connects the media, marketing and creative industries with charities helping children and young people at risk. This year, the fundraising event will take place in Sydney on 8 February at the University of Sydney, and on 15 February at Fawkner Park in Melbourne.
Former Pandora sales boss, now UnLtd CEO Chris Freel said the Big Clash was a great way to start 2018.
“UnLtd exists to bring the industry together to do good, and this event brings this mantra to life. If you haven’t attended before, you have to come down and experience it for yourself. With over 50 organisations confirmed to play, this year’s events are going to be fantastic. Where else do you see 12 media agencies all playing on the same team?”
Speaking on behalf of the media agency team, PHD’s CEO Mark Coad said: “With a strong Aussie contingent in our line-up, we are very confident of doing what our baggy greens just did to the Poms!”
Representing the media owner side, ARN CEO Rob Atkinson said: “We’re looking forward to the challenge… It’s great to be supporting such great causes while having a lot of fun at the same time. I’m hoping the pitch does more for the bowlers than the Ashes ones did!”
