PHD has been named Media Network of the Year for the second year running and PHD UK named Media Agency of the Year, at the global Cristal Awards held in Courchevel, France on Friday evening.
The accolades were awarded following PHD’s strong performance, which included 20 awards in total and three Grand Prix in the Media, Brand Culture and Marketing Innovation categories.
PHD India’s ‘KKT’ campaign for Unilever – which saw mobile phones in rural India turned into a media channel – won a Grand Prix (Grand Cristal) in Brand Culture and a Grand Prix in Marketing Innovation, as well as a further five Gold’s (Cristal) and two Silver (Sapphire).
PHD UK’s ‘The LEGO Movie Ad Break’ for Warner Bros won a Grand Prix (Grand Cristal) in Media and a further three Gold’s (Cristal) and two Silver (Sapphire).
Four Silver (Sapphire) were awarded for; PHD Hong Kong’s Standard Chartered campaign ‘I am a Boss’; PHD NZ for ‘Tui Plumber’ for Heineken and PHD China’s ‘Dive Into Love’ and ‘100 Million Smiles’ campaigns, both for Unilever. A further four Bronze (Emerald) were awarded for PHD China’s ‘Dive Into Love’ (in two categories) and ‘100 Million Smiles’ campaigns, both for Unilever and PHD International’s ‘Modern Explorer’ for Expedia.
The latest wins come just weeks after PHD won the Grand Prix at Eurobest with the Warner Bros campaign, as well as being named Campaign Media Network of the Year for APAC.
PHD has won over 500 awards across the network in 2014, making it one of the most awarded media network’s this year.
