PHD Thailand and its parent company, Omnicom Media Group Thailand, along with the support of media partners, have raised donations worth 208,379 Baht (£4,956) for children’s village Moo Baan Dek Sarnrak in the Salaya area of Nakhon Pathom.
As part of PHD’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Big Hug, the funds donated will be used to provide scholarships for children under the care of the school. As part of Big Hug’s aim to further immerse PHD staff in giving back to the community, the media agency organised a visit to the children’s village on 9 November to play games and engage with the children that their funds will be supporting.
PHD’s Big Hug is a global initiative from the media network, organised across 100 offices around the world with the objective of giving back to the communities in which they operate.
Nuvee Pongsathidporn, Managing Director of PHD Thailand, said: “We are delighted to support such a worthy cause with our Big Hug CSR initiative this year. By sponsoring their education, we hope not only to create a brighter future for the children of this school, but also the overall community as a result of what they can then achieve. After visiting the village, our staff are now vested in the children’s progress and it’s great to see them so engaged with their peers and inspired to do more as a result of our CSR initiative.”
