Sir Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the world wide web, spoke to Campaign UK’s Maisie McCabe, following his Cannes Lions seminar “Sentience: The Coming AI Revolution” hosted by PHD. In the interview, published in this week’s Campaign, Sir Tim discusses the threats posed by artificial intelligence, our relationship with data and how media outlets and advertisers should use the web.
On bringing Sir Tim to Cannes Lions, Mike Cooper, PHD Worldwide’s CEO, said Sir Tim was the obvious choice “when you consider what the web has made possible in the past 25 years and how it will continue to be the foundation of the exponential changes over the next 25”.
Whilst at Cannes Lions PHD previewed its latest publication “Sentience: The Coming AI Revolution and the Implications of Marketing” which looks at the impact that AI will have upon the world of marketing.
