PHD proud to support the launch of BRiM

All News News

Last week saw the launch of a new industry initiative, Black Representation in Marketing (BRiM) which has been created by brands, agencies, leading members of the Black community, and industry diversity, equity and inclusion experts.

With the full support of the Advertising Association, BRiM is a cross-industry effort to create long-lasting change when it comes to black representation in marketing.

At the heart of BRiM is ‘The BRiM Framework’, a resource for companies and individuals to support their efforts to improve black representation in our industry and the work we produce.

You can find the details of the BRiM framework here.

As part of the launch, a team from PHD worked with a cross-industry volunteer group to plan and launch BRiM’s communications strategy.

In addition to our media planning contribution, PHD also secured £400,000 worth of free media space across out of home, digital and print, ensuring that the launch of the new BRiM initiative was seen by millions of people throughout the marketing industry and beyond.

Beyond the launch we have also helped develop partnerships with The Guardian, the FT and LinkedIn to maintain engagement with the BRiM initiative in the longer term.

A big shout out to Business Director Demi Abiola and Managing Partner James Appleby who led PHD’s contribution and to the wider PHD who worked to get this seminal campaign live, including Mwewa Kaluba, Pares Kidd, Lauren Ogundeko, Emily Taylor and Alice Hadley.
