PHD scoops competition’s biggest prize, along with four other awards
PHD has won Campaign of the Year at the inaugural Festival of Media Cause Campaign Awards 2022. The agency also picked up four category wins and received two highly commended mentions for work for InLesco (Costa Rican School of Sign Language) – PHD Costa Rica, and The British Heart Foundation – PHD UK.
PHD’s Campaign of the Year was for ‘Break of Silence’, a campaign for InLesco School of Sign Language in Costa Rica. In the campaign, the agency raised awareness of the challenges facing the deaf community in Costa Rica by creating the country’s first silent TV commercial break – 100% interpreted in sign language.
The win maintains PHD Costa Rica’s great awards run in 2022. Earlier in the year, ‘Break of Silence’ won Campaign of the Year at the Festival of Media Global Awards 2022, was shortlisted three times at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and, most recently, won three gold trophies at the M&M 2022 Global Awards.
The Festival of Media Cause Campaign Awards were curated to encourage the global media industry to include more cause marketing within its campaigns and have a positive impact on society.
