PHD China won three Gold and the coveted Agency of the Year trophy at the 2020 MMA SMARTIES Awards, which is the world’s only global mobile marketing awards programme celebrating outstanding innovation, creativity and achievement in the modern mobile communications world.
PHD scooped Gold in the Innovation & Creativity category for their ‘VW Deep Fake’ campaign for Volkswagen. The category celebrates campaigns that provided innovation and creativity primarily leveraging digital media, delivering significant impact to the current business.
The agency also picked up two Gold for their work with DiDi, the world’s leading mobile transportation platform. Their ‘DiDi Roast’ campaign took top honours in the Relationship Building & CRM category for building and maintaining customer relationships; while ‘Love My City’ triumphed in the Cross Media category celebrating campaigns that utilised mobile as a core strategy, along with one or more separate channels to round out the campaign.
Rounding out the evening, PHD China was awarded the prestigious title of Agency of the Year. Following a year which saw PHD China pick up huge wins – from the new business category, including the SAIC Volkswagen media account; to awards shows across the globe, including Festival of Media Global and the AME Awards Global – the accolade is a testament to PHD China’s dedication to creativity and innovation to drive ambitious growth for PHD and their clients.
